Managing Director Lee joins the 'Dawson 500' team in their mission to raise money for Adoption UK

Managing Director Lee Devlin is proud to have today completed a charity bike ride in aid of Adoption UK. This is a charity particularly close to his heart as he supports a close friend Andrew Dawson in his very personal mission.

Andrew has shared that “As an adoptive parent, I know how vital it is to get the right support for both adopted children and their adoptive parents, from the early days all the way through to adult life. Adoption gives children a second chance of stability, permanence, and the love and nurture that all children need…Therefore to do my bit, I have decided to organise an event to both raise awareness of the Adoption UK charity, and hopefully some money at the same time”.

This mission saw the team ride 500 miles from the Scottish offices of Adoption UK, travelling South to their offices in Oxford, and then back to their hometown of Norfolk.

Lee took on the challenge of joining Andrew Dawson and the team for the last two and a half days of the challenge, covering over 250 miles; a gruelling feat, but all worth it for such a worthy cause.

Devlin Developments have helped to contribute to the £6000 raised to date, through sponsorship of the event, and by donating to the cause.

Once he got his breath back, Lee stated “I’m just proud to have been able to support Andrew and the guys, and although it certainly hasn’t been easy, it’s a journey we’ll never forget, and I’m thrilled that myself and Devlin Developments have been associated with such an amazing achievement”.
